Koha at the Aga Khan Library London

A new challenge came to our company, this time from the city of London. The Aga Khan Library (https://www.agakhanlibrary.org/), chose Dataly Tech to migrate its catalogue from SirsiDynix Symphony software to the open source integrated library management system (ILS) Koha. Dataly migrated and adapted more than 43K bibliographic records and over 58K item records to the Koha environment.

In this project:

  • Koha uses OCLC Connexion
  • RFID machines and automatic lending machines were connected to Koha
  • KOHA interfaces with the library’s discovery layer (EBSCO’s EDS)
  • Migration of records in a variety of languages
  • Debugging of right to left script visualisation
  • The installation of the system is based on cloud infrastructure and was completed within 6 months.
  • Library staff have been trained on their new catalogue, which is available at the following link https://opac.agakhanlibrary.org/cgi-bin/koha/opac-main.pl

The success of the Aga Khan Library project confirms our company’s track record over the years in providing quality services, successful partnerships, reliability and adaptability. It proves that we can be trusted by new and existing partners across Europe with their different conditions and requirements.

Dataly Tech has successful partnerships in Greece, Cyprus, Germany, Belgium and the UK developing  Koha with new features for more than 100 libraries. The company provides a wide range of services including library systems, digital libraries, indexing systems, repositories, websites, special systems, training and consulting services.
